These records are about creativity and authenticity.

It’s easy to get caught up in trends or try to create something that you think other people will like or that would fit well for label x, or sounds like y, or could go viral - especially in the music industry.

Why does a painter start painting? Because they like to paint. Pure love and connection to art. No external goals in mind. But things change when people are interested in what the painter paints next. It starts to affect how they approach the canvas. Scared to stray from what has worked in the past.

It is no different than someone creating music and gaining any size following.
I’d be lying if I never sat down and tried to create something that wasn’t me. Even flat-out attempt to sound artist y or z. Or create something that I think would fit well on this or that label or could go viral.

Fuck that.

All of these songs were created for pure love of art with no goal in mind other than to create something I myself really liked. I’m not sure if I understand where inspiration or creativity really comes from, but I know it works like a muscle. You have to keep at it for it to grow stronger.

This EP is a reminder for myself and others to create something you truly care about and that is YOU.
